Terms of Service

Last updated: May 19, 2026

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using TrekUnity (the "Service"), operated by TrekUnity LLC ("we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use TrekUnity. By using the Service, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. Accounts found to belong to users under 18 will be terminated.

3. Your account

You are responsible for activity under your account, for keeping your password secure, and for the accuracy of information you provide. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to upload, post, share, or transmit any content that:

  • Contains nudity, pornography, or sexually explicit material.
  • Depicts graphic violence, gore, or content that glorifies harm.
  • Harasses, bullies, threatens, or intimidates any person.
  • Promotes hatred or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristic.
  • Promotes self-harm or suicide.
  • Is unlawful or facilitates unlawful activity (including drug trafficking, child sexual abuse material, human trafficking, or terrorism).
  • Infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights of others.
  • Impersonates another person or misrepresents your affiliation.
  • Is spam, fraudulent, or deliberately misleading.
  • Contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code.

You also agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any applicable laws.
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or circumvent security on the Service.
  • Scrape, harvest, or resell data obtained from the Service without our written permission.
  • Use the report system to harass other users or submit reports in bad faith.

4a. User-generated content and moderation

TrekUnity provides tools for users to share trip plans, notes, photos, comments, and messages with people they invite. Most content is visible only to invited trip members. To keep these spaces safe:

  • Every user can report any other user, comment, photo, or message that violates these terms. We review reports promptly.
  • Every user can blockanother user. Blocking hides the blocked user's content from your view and prevents them from inviting you to new trips.
  • We may remove content, suspend accounts, or terminate access at our discretion when we identify violations of these terms. In serious cases (including but not limited to child sexual abuse material, threats of imminent violence, or other illegal activity), we may report the user and content to law enforcement.
  • Reports may be reviewed by automated systems and/or human moderators. Submitting false reports is itself a violation of these terms.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of trip plans, photos, messages, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). You grant TrekUnity a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and process Your Content as needed to operate the Service. You are responsible for backing up content you wish to keep.

6. Third-party services and affiliate links

TrekUnity surfaces booking links to third-party providers (e.g., Booking.com, Skyscanner, OpenTable, GetYourGuide). Your transactions with those providers are governed by their terms, not ours. We may earn affiliate commissions when you book through these links — this never increases your price.

7. Fair use of AI features

We may apply reasonable usage limits, rate limits, or per-user quotas to AI-powered features (including but not limited to AI Trip Builder, receipt scanning, and other machine-learning surfaces) to ensure fair access for all users and to control infrastructure costs. These limits may change as the Service evolves. If you reach a limit, we will display a clear message and, where applicable, indicate when the limit resets or how to obtain higher limits (e.g., a paid plan).

8. AI-generated content

The Service includes AI features that generate trip itineraries, venue suggestions, and other content. AI output may be inaccurate, outdated, or invented. Always verify important details (flight times, business hours, prices, addresses) directly with the provider before relying on them.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to other users or the Service.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrekUnity disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TrekUnity LLC and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months.

12. Changes

We may update these terms over time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-product notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in St. Louis County, Missouri.
