Fiesta San Antonio is an 11-day April celebration that has grown from an 1891 tribute to the heroes of the Alamo and San Jacinto into one of the country's great civic parties — dozens of events including the river-borne Texas Cavaliers River Parade, the flower-filled Battle of Flowers Parade, night parades, food-filled "Night in Old San Antonio," and cascarones cracked over everyone's heads.
It fills the historic downtown and River Walk with color, music, and Tex-Mex food, an exuberant immersion in San Antonio's multicultural heritage.
