Delete your TrekUnity account

You can delete your TrekUnity account and all associated data at any time. We'll permanently remove your profile, trip data, photos, messages, and preferences within 30 days of the request.

Option 1 — In-app (fastest)

  1. Sign in to TrekUnity at trekunity.com/login
  2. Open your Profile page
  3. Scroll to Delete Account and confirm the prompt

Your account, trips, photos, and chat messages are removed immediately. Backups roll off within 30 days.

Option 2 — By email

Email trekunity.app@gmail.com from the address you used to sign up. Subject line: "Delete my account". We'll respond within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What happens to shared trip data?

Trips you created are deleted along with your account, including any data added by other members of those trips. Trips you only joined as a member remain — only your personal contributions (your messages, your photos, your expenses) are removed; the trip itself stays for the other members.

Delete some of your data without deleting your account

You don't have to delete your whole account to remove specific data. From inside TrekUnity (web or installed app) you can:

  • Delete a trip you own — open the trip, tap the menu, choose Delete trip. All activities, photos, messages, expenses, and notes for that trip are removed immediately for every member.
  • Leave a trip — open the trip's Members panel, choose Leave trip. You lose access; your messages and photos in that trip are removed from your view.
  • Delete photos — open the Photos tab on a trip, tap your photo, choose Delete.
  • Delete chat messages or comments — hover or long-press the message, tap the delete icon.
  • Delete activities, meals, drinks, flights, stays, expenses, todos, packing items — open the item and tap Delete. Owners can also bulk-delete from each list.
  • Remove your profile photo — open your Profile page, tap your avatar, and remove or replace the photo.
  • Turn off live location sharing — open the trip, open the live-location panel, and toggle sharing off. Your location history for that trip is purged.
  • Revoke push notifications — your device settings, or from the in-app notifications panel.

Prefer that we do it for you? Email trekunity.app@gmail.com from your signup address with the subject line "Delete specific data" and tell us what to remove. We respond within 3 business days and complete the removal within 30 days. Aggregate, anonymized analytics and legally required records (e.g. payment receipts for tax purposes) may be retained.
